Do I need the Base Set to use the Add On IoT?
Yes. The fischertechnik Add On IoT (559897) is an expansion and the Robotics TXT 4.0 Base Set is required to operate it.
What does the Add On IoT measure?
With the Base Set it becomes a stationary sensor station that measures air temperature, humidity, air pressure, air quality and brightness. The camera can be panned on two axes and controlled remotely.
How is the Add On IoT programmed?
It is programmed with the TXT 4.0 controller and the ROBO Pro Coding software. Readings are sent to a cloud store and shown on a dashboard.
What topics does the Add On IoT teach?
It covers data acquisition, network connections, cloud computing and the Internet of Things. The three tasks are a weather station, an indoor climate monitor with a CO2 traffic light, and an alarm system with pan-tilt camera control.
What age group and group size suit the Add On IoT?
