Does the Add On AI need the Robotics TXT 4.0 Base Set?
Yes. The fischertechnik Add On AI (569022) is an expansion and the Robotics TXT 4.0 Base Set is absolutely required to operate it. It is a different product from the STEM Coding Ultimate AI complete set.
How many models are in the Add On AI?
The Add On AI contains three AI learning models at different difficulty levels. fischertechnik learning material describes them as a Teachable Machine, an intelligent barrier and a sorting line.
How do students train the AI with the Add On AI?
Images are recorded on the TXT 4.0 controller, then the neural network is trained on a PC or laptop and the trained model is transferred back to the controller. fischertechnik states the training is too demanding for the TXT 4.0 alone.
What software is needed for the Add On AI?
A PC or laptop with a Python working environment and the downloadable Trainer GUI, plus the TXT 4.0 programs for collecting images and applying the trained AI.
What does the Add On AI teach?
It teaches the basic principles of AI and neural networks, the three steps of collecting training data, training and using the AI, and how to judge recognition quality with a truth table.
